FLORIDA

Florida is a great state for recreation and relaxing. If you head way down towards the far end of US Highway 1, you will find a very laid back pace in the Florida Keys. Midway up the East Coast of Florida, one can watch NASA send the Space Shuttles into orbit. There are a lot of water sports activities up and down both coasts. There is boating, scuba diving, swimming, sunbathing, people watching, windsurfing, and much more. These fun activities are typically within a couple hours drive from anywhere in Florida.

Florida is known for its great citrus crop. Head over there around Christmas and you can help pick some of your own fresh citrus which can then be squeezed for great juice. The temperatures there in the Winter are great. It is hardly ever too cold to be outdoors. The Summers can get a bit warm but that keeps playing in the water more exciting.

Florida has numerous universities. Some of these universities are located in places where every kid could only dream of attending college. Just do not forget to study, since that is why one attends school in the first place.

Florida is known the world over for being a magnet for retirees. Yes, they do drive slow in front of you. I do not mind because having a grandfather there gives me a great excuse to head over to Florida every so often. This population also creates a need for a lot of service industry employees. This allows numerous service employee folks to flock to Florida to enjoy the good life also.
