Hong Kong is one of the more unique cities in the world. It operates in many ways as its own country while actually a part of China. For the longest time, Hong Kong was run by the British who still have a strong influence on the daily lives and activities of this city. Hong Kong is more than just a city as much of what is known as Hong Kong is what we would call wilderness land.

Hong Kong was known for many years by air travelers as one of the most tricky airports for pilots to use. The landings were right over the top of major population centers with high buildings. This was after a sharp turn to get set for final approach. This changed after land was reclaimed from the sea to build a new modern airport.

Hong Kong is one of the trading centers for Asia. The port is full of ships with goods. The financial markets are active as well. Tourism brings in tons of Europeans, Americans, and other Asians to see this jewel of a city. This city represents one of the most modern cities in all of China.
