London is a wonderful city. It if full of history and interesting people. There is a great subway that takes you from one area in the city to another area in a matter of minutes. Loads of parks can be found throughout the city. The city also hosts numerous train stations.

London hosts one of the worlds major airports. London Heathrow serves as one of the major crossroad airports for travelers heading from the East to the West and vice versa. The city is one of the major economic markets in the world. Lloyds of London, one of the world famous insurance companies is located there. Lets not forget Harrods, a famous shopping center.

The royal family has a palace in London, Buckingham Palace to be exact. You can watch the famous changing of the guard on select days. It is quite a site. Get there early so you can get a good spot and actually view something.

London is located on the River Thames. This river runs from the northern parts of the country down to the English Channel. River cruises are available to the tourist and make for an exciting half hour ride. Big Bend and Westminster Abbey are easily viewed from the river.
