Texas
Living in Texas is great. We can drive to a wide variety of climates. We are near enough the coast it does not take long to get to an island. Yet we are far enough inland, that the last major Hurricane to hurt Houston was Alicia in 1983.
Look around this part of our site. We have numerous links to useful information as well as many of our favorite places. Eventually, we may even have some pictures of a favorite Texas sport, White Tail Deer Hunting.
Texas is known as the Lone Star State. It is the only state to once act as a independent nation. Texas has flown six flags over the capital, each representing the nation that occupied the land. This is only part of the rich history of the State of Texas.
Texas is home to several stellar institutions of higher education. Many of the nations largest companies have homes in Texas. Texas hosts some of the finest athletes, including the two hockey teams that are at the top of their leagues.
Below are links that will help you find more information on our fine state. Come on down for a visit. Enjoy the nice Texan hospitality, but remember to watch out for the rattle snakes and tumble weeds. Also, stay off my oil rig.
