Train Information and Links

Travel by train can be exciting. It is often a slower paced journey through areas where the scenery is beautiful. My favorite train ride is definitely from Anchorage to Denali Park in Alaska. The trip is long (8 hours one way) but well worth it to see all of the scenery.

In many parts of the world the main method of mass transit over long distances is the train, not airplanes like in the USA. Europe makes good use of trains. Trains are also useful for shuttling large groups of folks in relatively small areas where use of busses would be a bad idea. A perfect example is the rail service provided between Sydney City Center and the Olympic Village outside of the city a few miles.

Have a great train ride!
