Destinations we Like to visit

North America

Texas

Probably the single best state in the USA. Known as the Lone Star State, Texas is home to top universities, great beaches, mountains, several of the largest cities in the USA, and much more. We have great sports teams, both professional and college. We have Friday Night Lights during football season when all the high school teams duke it out for position as top dog.

We live here and love it. It is worth the visit, come on down and enjoy Texas!

West Coast

The West Coast of the USA includes a lot of interesting places from sunny beaches to Volcanoes. In between lies amusement parks, National Parks, the worlds premier aircraft manufacture (Boeing) and much more. Over the course of days you can drive from Mexico to Canada on Interstate 5 and get to soak in a lot. Of course some of the best sites require an hour or more drive off I-5 to the East to see more interior parts of these states.

East Coast

Here is where we find a lot of historical sites. The New World was first discovered on the East Coast. The immigrants headed West. The current population of the USA is heavily oriented towards the Eastern side of the USA with tons of population between Washington, DC up to Boston, MA thru the New York area. There is a lot to be learned by visiting historical sites on this side of the country. The beaches can be nice as well.

Florida

Although technically on the East Coast, Florida is so special it stands out and warrants it's own page. Florida is for those who love fun in the sun. Offering tons of sunny days there are many in which folks can enjoy most of if not an entire day outdoors in the sun. Just be sure to put on sun block as the sun in Southern parts of Florida can get quite strong.

Florida has some of the best beaches in the US. Additionally, Florida houses the most popular amusement parks, is home to Kennedy Space Center, and is home port to the largest cruise ships as well as many more from several different fleets. In the Winter it is cruise ship haven in Florida.

Canada

The Great White North. Canada has tons of land, Polar Bears and other neat wildlife, and some great martine communities. Canada in some ways is much like the USA, but it is also very different. Canada like the USA still maintains strong ties with the British Empire. Canada is a great place to visit.

South America

With its European influence South America has a lot to offer to those from the USA. There are many different cultures to visit. The Andes offer some great views and unique topography. Beaches in various parts of South America are among the tope beaches in the world. It is worth a visit to see South America.

Asia

The Old World East of Europe. Of course back in the days of America's discovery, folks thought sailing West would either fall off the earth or reach Asia possibly a shorter way. In the end they found two new continents, both North and South America.

Asia is a land full of flavour. Spices abound in this part of the world as do many different religions. There is so much to do and see. The sights in Asia are unlike any you will find most other places in the world. It is definitely worth several trips to that area of the world to get the full flavour.

Africa

A land not known well by many Americans. This is a land where we find huge desserts and awesome oceanside scenery. We find many animals not found elsewhere, at least outside of a zoo. Many Americans visit Africa specifically to go on Safari to see these animals out in the wild. Other go to dive with the Great White Sharks off the Southern Coast. There are a number of folks who head there to help the needy and participate in mission trips.

Australia

This is one awesome nation-continent. There is tons of sparsely populated land in the interior of Australia offer up huge cattle ranches. Of course there is so little waters in those parts that the size of the herd is very small compared to the amount of land involved in each ranch. There are vast stretches of road where there is nothing to see but raw land for miles around, or kilometres as they use to measure distance down under.

The continent has various climates from the Tropical North to other climates as you go South with variances on the interiors of the mountains vs. the coastal side of the mountains. The population tends to live on the coastal areas of Australia with some exceptions.

Australia, like the US is so large it can't be easily explored in just a few days or even a couple of weeks. I've spent several weeks touring around and still could easily spend a few more before I will begin to feel like I have been to all corners of the country.

Oceania

The South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand make up the Oceania area of the world. Of course Australia is split out above, I will focus the Oceania areas of the web on South Pacific destinations. I really like Fiji as a destination, and look forward to spending time in other places such as Tahiti and the Cook Islands. All offer great tropical beaches and wonderfully hospitable local people.

Europe

The Old World! Many cultures make up Europe. From these cultures we find most of the folks who formed the United States and many other countries in both North and South America. We even see the architecture from Europe in several parts of the America. Many foods we all like originated over in Europe as well.
